Towaco sits in the northern corner of Montville Township, tucked under Waughaw Mountain, and the lots here run bigger and more wooded than almost anywhere nearby. That is the appeal, and it is also the maintenance problem. Homes set back among mature trees stay shaded and damp, roofs collect moss on the north pitch, and the long driveways that come with those lots grow a green film down the center strip where the tires never run.
