Wayne is the biggest township in our service area and probably the most varied. The lake communities at Packanack, Pines Lake, and Lionshead are the hardest on exteriors: water on three sides, mature trees overhead, and a lot of cedar shake and clapboard that has been up since the mid-century. Cedar holds moisture, and moisture grows algae and mildew, which is why those homes need washing more often than the newer builds up on the Preakness ridge.

The ridge homes have their own issue, which is exposure. Full sun bleaches decks and chalks out painted siding, and the paver patios that came with those builds settle and lose their joint sand within a decade.

We handle both, and the method changes with the surface. Cedar and painted siding get a genuine soft wash at very low pressure. Concrete and pavers can take real pressure and get it. Roofs never do.
